modernized tailights gone bad :(

so i tried to take my taillights apart today to remove the difusers. it took me about almost 4 hours because the tailighs would not fit in the oven. its such a pain in the *** to get them apart and i ended up ******* up my tailights hella bad. does anyone know an easier way to get them apart...or if you can buy them without difusers from someone???
