Which model RX-7 do i have??

https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/specifications-what-did-2nd-generation-rx-7-come-w-options-standard-features-249616/

i looked at the 87 rx-7's and it's weird because i have the 14 inch alloys and no rear wipers but i do have cruise control and an electric sunroof AND the tilt steering wheel. what's going on? i thought it was the base model?

Number 1: you need to read the sticky threads found at the top of this section. One of them includes standard features and options for each model year.

Number 2: Bumps are forbidden. Your bump has been deleted. Please read the Before posting thread. Don't do it again.

Number 3: from your description you have either a Luxury or a SE ( you didn't mention if it was a 87 or 87.5). The 86 and 87 Base model is entirly different (which you would have seen if you had read the options and standard features thread).

no, options and standard features are always correct.

Generally wehn people post comments like that, they really don't understand the way the cars were made, and what standard features and options were available for each sub model.

Of course that is why we created the What did my RX-7 come with, standard features and options sticky thread.

14 in alloy wheels were standard on the 86-87 Luxury and 87.5-88 SE
14in alloy wheels were optional on the 86-87 base model, however the factory sunroof was not availlable, instantly rulling out the base model as your car.

So by default, you have either a Luxury or a SE, again depending on what model year.

This is pretty straight forward... I am not getting what you are not understanding...

Cruise control was a dealer installed option on most models.

That is why it is listed a A (as in Available) on most of the brochures

no, the sport package (GS in mazda production speak) was the Sport package in 86-87.5, and the GTU in 88, and the GTUs for the 89-90.

The 87.5-88 SE was the combination of the 86-87 base model and the 86-87 Luxury (took a little from both, but didn't get everything from both). (GX in Mazda production speak)

Civics and CRX's were the same way with the cruise control and air conditioning (a dealer installed option if it was not put on in Japan or Canada)

well i didn't go into detail with the crx's because i didn't care much for it and i knew it was an HF. this rx-7 was originally registered as a turbo FI so that got me confused.
