MMR UHMW Rear diff, subframe, and trailing arm bushings
MMR UHMW Rear diff, subframe, and trailing arm bushings
Anyone using these in their FC?? My subframe & diff has to come down to swap to the TII rear. Those bushings in there are 20 years old with 23+,000 miles. It may be time. I've heard alot of conflicting information about the drivetrain vibrations. It will be a daily driven car but it will also have the Stance C/O's.
What has been your experience with these things? I need to order some stuff from Mazdatrix tomorrow and I am torn between the Comp mounts and the MMR mounts. Help and experience is greatly appreciated.
FWIW I already have the Comp motor/tranny mounts and are planning on the Comp front diff mount. I'm really just concerned with the Subframe, Diff & trailing arms.
Thanks

I have competition mounts on my diff, and they're great. I've got MMR poly mounts for engine mounts. Haven't driven it turbocharged yet, which is what the poly engine mounts are installed with, but the comp mounts in the diff seems real nice to me.

Comp mounts as is Mazdatrix Comp mounts in the diff or MMR mounts in the diff? Thats what I'm really worried about becuase I didn't notice any difference between the "comp" mounts and the stock mounts, but everyone is whining about all the vibrations from the diff & subframe and rear arms with the MMR mounts. Thanks again

Yes I did. After swapping in an LSD and breaking axles due to tearing the shitty 20 year old mounts to shreds, the competition mounts were like a God-send.
Go poly or competition mounts all over the car if you can. It's a sports car, it's not made to ride like a luxary car. **** it.

Screw it and just put them in, if they vibrate too much sell the car :p
I'm doing poly suspension, engine and tranny mounts/bushings and delrin for the diff/subframe and am planning to have a %100 solid front diff mount made.

*****....... What's the worst that happens? A few hours one day swapping the bushings for comps right? So long as it's right for the SS10 cruise. vibs for 7,000 miles would suck
I've got MMR mounts in the engine, tranny and diff.
My car rattles going down the road.
I don't particularly care though because its loud as hell anyways (HBP) and I don't have to worry about engine movement slipping a coupler on me (I hate that
)
With JUST solid engine mounts it wasn't *that* bad, ie. not noticeable unless I told you. But now its pretty damn racey
(BTW that's NOT a typo for ricey
