Question Misfire at idle as well as the 3800rpm hesitation

car is a STOCk 1988 gxl. i have searched on this problem, but couldn’t find any solutions, in most cases the car had been modified.

ive been trying to pass smog, with no avail.

the car has a misfire at idle, also if i hold the rpm anywhere from 1k to 2k there is a slight misfire.

and i have the 3800 rpm hesitation, usually only when the car is cold, or under load, such as going of a steep grade in fourth gear.

any help is appreciated.

thanks

check the FAQ's... 3800 hes is usually the ECU ground; It's a pain in the **** to get too, but it's way worth it to fix!
