Digital Logicon Pictures

Digital logicon: for those who have never seen one.
Functions in both manual, and in automatic climate control: set the temperature and the little air pump pics up the interior temperature and adjusts the HVAC accordingly. Only lists temperatures in degrees Celsius.

It bolts right in, and requires some splicing onto the standard logicon harness. As you can see, it makes that one pain in the *** harness disconnectable from the logicon: the way it should be.

geez. the sale is already pending!? LOL

how hard is it to get your hands on one? and is it compatible with all model FC's (N/A or turbo, S4 or S5)?
Ill snap some of that later... likely saturday.

Sale pending, yes. I paid $150 for it about 4 years ago. I haven't seen one for sale since then. These are very hard to get your mitts on, only available on some select Japanese FC's.
Fits all models of FC's.

Remember the Digital Logicons are only in Celsius not Fahrenheit to set the interior temp

Icemark, any chance on rebuilding one of those digital ones if you had the core?

Having experienced attempts at climate "control" in 80's cars, I really wouldn't bother...

Haha, that's kind of what I think. My version of 80's climate control is the window either up, or down.

If people really want them, contact eBay user japandy. He always gets stuff like that. I bought one of these a few years ago but lost interest in using it after I found out that it requires an A/C system (my car never had one) and that other people already knew about them...

Forgive me for the silly question, but was this available in Japan Factory installed, or is this made by someone over there?

Haha, I never use the A/C to defog. Either it's going to be the heater, or my window is going down a smidge, and I'm getting wet, but my windows are clean!

You don't need AC for it to work, just you will never be able to hit the target temperatures if you are trying to cool the car (obviously).

I run mine with just the little airpump and it works OK. But there is also a heater core temp sensor, as well as some weird optical sensor that I haven't quite figured yet.

They are not the Mazda ones, they are the ones I figured out by reverse engineering the Logicons

Why not?

The A/C is by far the most effective way to do it. You're trying to remove moisture from the windscreenm, so obviously blowing warm, dry air is far more effective than blowing warm, moist air. A/C will clear a fogged window in seconds, and unlike the heater will work from the minute you start a cold engine.
