Millage problem b4 i bought car
Well when i bought my car i noticed something funny a trip to town was getting 30 miles and its a 15 mile trip. so i went and found out the jackass who owned the car b4 me had put undersized tyres on my car and it was getting double millage and that explains why i was being tailgated all the time 
so it looks like this was the sencond set of tyres on the car are they were about 8 years old and now my car shows 107,000miles and i wana know how i can reset my millage to 70,000miles like what the estment shows. plz this may keep me from selling car in the future!

Either get a bone-yard gauge cluster with lower miles, or get some very oversized rear tires (truck tires?) to drive the next 70k miles and only show 35lk.
Seriously, THERE IS NO WAY THE TIRES WERE THE ONLY REASON IT SHOW TWICE THE MILES. In order to have tires with half the cicumfrence, the tire would be TINY!- like 40 series 12" tires. I could see maybe 10%-15% from the tires, but maybe something is wrong with the speedo or the rear end? Maybe the rear end ratio was changed, without changing the speedo gear?

It is illegal to roll back or tamper with the odometer in the United States, it is considered felony fraud.
You could swap it out with a junkyard one with fewer miles, but in many states you also would need to report how many miles were on the old odometer before you put the new or used one in.
odometer tampering or replacement will also often show up in car fax runs and other state registration information. Even a simple swap, is often considered fraud. It would be much worse to have odometer fraud on the cars history than an extra 30k miles.
And BRealistic is right on the tire thing. It would take a 145/30-15 to be even 25% off. I doubt the odo is as far off as you think. what size tires were really on it.
and third thing... if the tire size was really that bad, the car still travelled those miles. The wheels still went 110K miles around, the bearings still went 110K miles, the rear end still went 110K miles.

Well to give ya an idea of how bad it was, the car was almost touching the ground the front wheel barings were gone and it had not been lowered, When i went to get new tyres the guy was like WOAH the size is way to small for that car when he looked it up. i knew they had been on the car along time because of excessive dry rot and the rest of the car was in ok shape so i figured it was taken care of. Thats how i got my car has about 70K on it. Anyway to prove that?

just put regular tires back on and don't worry about it. 30k miles isn't that much. If you're worried about resale value then just keep the car in good condition, most people will still buy it if it feels nice and strong. Unless the tires were unbelievably small, you probably only have an extra 5-10k miles on it.
Basically, LEAVE IT ALONE! Just enjoy the car. If it feels like a 70k mile car, then great, who cares what the odo says?
