mikuni 44phh on 90 13b 6 port
I've got a guy offering me a GREAT deal on an RB UIM and mikuni 44phh. What can I expect from this setup? What kind of performance ? what kind of "quirks" how much intake noise will I have to deal with? ANY info would be greatly appreciated

Do a search on carb conversion and make sure you know what you exactly need to change other than adding a carb to get it to work.
The performance gains are decent, you will be getting rid of the afm, and any kind of port jobs will run much better (performance wise) without the stock ecu. Its kind of like going standalone in wich whatever changes you make to the engine (removing afm, porting, etc) it will have no negative side effects unlike using the stock ecu.
The only problem with carbs, the most obvious one, is that fine tuning is no where near as precise as with a standalone. So in other words if you want to create a perfect fuel mixture throughout all the rpm ranges, you can't. For NA guys, I think carb is the best way to go for performance.

it will be on a non ported engine... I know all the parts I'm going to need and am in the process of collecting them. I'm just wondering about the mikuni 44phh in particular, as opposed to say a holley 4bbl
