Metal S5 T-stat housing??

Metal S5 T-stat housing??

That damn plastic thing sucks my ***.... who makes a metal one? I've seen them before and hear they are rare. Anyone know?

There are none that are mass produced in the states. The few I've seen were custom made and not sold.

I know someone who makes them, but he seems to have no inspiration to make more of them, Im waiting 5 months for one myself, lol

He was making them on a lathe and everything.

dang i had no idea that they were rare my 86 i just sold had one on it and i have another one layin around my garage too

They are cast aluminum for all 1986 - 1988 FC's.
See the original post - it says "S5", which are 1989 - 1991 models.
All Kouki 13B's use plastic thermostat covers - 3-bolt pattern.

Would there be any disadvantages in using a S4 front cover,
so you could use the cast S4 style T-stat housing?
