Members... I bring a '91 Turbo for your appraisal
Okay, well I'll probably pass on the car, but I never said that it "had no battery".
I said it had a dead battery.
And the gauge cluster is an S5 but the idiot lights are s4.
this car is a bunch of peices put all together.
I pass.

my TII has no CD.. its a 89 TII, has the equilizers below the tape deck.... Both don't wory right though...
guage cluster looks right... does the steering wheel say Mazda and near the bottom say MOMO? my does... i think it was T2 series 5 specific only. not sure about the seats, my are leather... but the seats just have more side bolster support then compared to N/A seats unless have GTUs seats.

It looks like a typical 91 with a few j-yard replacement parts. I'd stand firm at 3k and plan on a rebuild (& port job) soon. You have got many good barganing points. I am scouting a similar deal here.

I agree with Sniper on the plastic. My current '90 GXL defrost grills and center tab had turned into potato chips from southern sun/heat. Literally crumbled. I carry the vin tag which was attached to the driver grill in glove box untill I can find red replacements. Your photos show the plastic missing. Doubt it is mischief, its the poor quality of Mazda interior plastic. Told by Dealer they can replace.
The question on CD player in all 89 + RX7s. No it was an option. My '90 GTU bought in '90 did not have the CD player. The Mazda base radio/tape was a Clarion. The CD was a Pioneer.

I may take another trip there to drive it.
I gave up when I had sweated the second gallon from the noonday sun beating down on both the car and myself.
I did get the compression test though.
That was important.
I doubt hell take less than $3000, thats a shame.
It needs alot.

Run! Don't walk! Run!
Seriously though, it looks beat. What is the goal for this project? Are you buying it for parts, second car, racer project? Any car has potential...just depends on your budget and your available time. If you don't need a project car, then look elsewhere.
For this car it looks like a good start for a stripped out street racer. No more than $2000 at the most.
