what about the fuel pump i installed would that have made a difference?? i appreciate any info you have.like i said b4 im trying to get the most out of my stock set up.

yeah man listen to them... its been 5 years since i've drivin my 7 because i wanted 1-2 more lbs of boost.

i gutted cats, messed with the intake, and one day....13lbs on the gauge..... BOOM blub blub blub toasted motor

stay where you are with a running car and save up, stock up, and then build up and be able to drive it as much as possible.

i have tons of parts, tons of money invested, no driving sp i have a sad face

get yourself some 720 injectors (at the least) and a rtek.....ditch the FCD (it just tricks the ECU) and a narrow band installed (at the least maybe a wideband) and get that boost gauge installed to see how much boost you are pushing.

well basically it isn't our cars only, any car that's looking for more power would eventually have to deal with they're fuel setup. there's a possibillity you're running lean, and running lean in a turbo car is danger zone. try getting a piggyback or an rtek and you should be ok, but right now i would go easy on the pedal if i where you.

bringing an older thread back out that I was reading because I just bought a manual boost controller because I was under the impression I could lower my boost with it, but I guess that is not the case. What is the rtek? is that a different computer for the car. Someone said get that instead of tricking your stock computer with an fcd. Well I already have an fcd I have a 3 inch exhaust no cat. The fcd has stopped the fuel cut off but I am still worried about it. My 7 is a s5, should I port my wastegate? Does an aftermarket blow off valve help any? I'm still searching, but any help is appreciated.

You are correct, a boost controller (they should really call them "boost increasers") cannot lower boost below what the waste gate will allow.

There is an Rtek section in the ECU subforum, go there, read.

3in exhaust + FCD + no fuel control = bad

You're lucky because you have an S5 and the waste gate is much better, but you should take it easy on the throttle, and remove the FCD until you can get some fuel control, and perhaps larger secondaries. An accurate boost gauge is manditory and an AFR gauge is highly recommended before you do anything else.

A BOV will do nothing to help control / lower boost.

what do you mean by fuel control, are you talking about a fuel pressure regulator, or just upgrading such as a Walbro and injectors. I am probably running lean with my stock fuel system. Also was thinking about porting wastegate.
