Why didn't you ask the guys you ordered them from?

If a vendor can't answer questions like that, I don't buy from them...

You might want to talk to neofreak since he's had those seats. I think he said before that rails are needed but I'm not sure. PM him and ask. Personally, I think the black ones look great. You have to see them in person.

The eBay ones are NOT real Mazdaspeed ones.

I woudl agree but those seats are not authentic. You can tell just by the picture alone the stichiong is of poor quality. i'd rather go with some other seats that cost 600 bucks a peice. But then i realize that is way too much damn money to pour into seats. i'm gonna stick with stock and get engine work done.

your gonna need that engine work to top this weight reduction :-P j/k .... but to the original thread starter... i would do the engine stuff first and then do looks... however i dont know what your situation is, if your replacing damaged seats then go for it... btw i think all you need is the brackets off of the old seats.... but not sure how you are supposed to attatch it to the new ones... they should sell brackets... least the places i went to had brackets that came with the seat

well i heard, that no matter WHAT seats u buy (except stock), you would need to either custom the rails or re-drill your seats.....
my friend went to a weld shop to weld the seats on a bar then on the stock rails...
well he bought racing seats for 80 bucks..... and the welding was 70 bucks.... so it was expensive.... but well if u spend 400-800 on Sparco or even Mazdaspeed, then might as well get someone to install it for u

well i have access to a mig welder and i do have some experience in welding, so if i need to weld up a new rail that shouldnt b a problem anyways. the reason im getting the seats is i can pick them up for 400 a PAIR... they are real mazdaspeed seats. the seller doesnt know anything about the seats or what they are worth thats why i posted here. worse comes to worse i'll just sell them off and make some money i guess

wow, real ones =)
i mean i saw Ebay knock-offs (that look pretty good actually) for like 300 and i was satisfied (meaning if i had the money i would buy it)

well i hope they fit =) my friends that i told u about? the installer mount it too high in his 240.... now when u drive the 240, it seems like u are riding in a SUV....

This is what i was talking about
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...zdaspeed+seats

if u know welding =) then it is a Plus for u...
good luck!
