MAzdaspeed or OEM Mounts.
Hello there guys.
I contacted corcksport and mazdaformance and they both gave me some pricing on the oem and mazdaspeed mounts. They say that the mazdaspeed ones are a lil stronger and are almost about the same price. My car has 170k miles on all original mounts like most of us here in the forum ive started to feel some vibration and noises when in fifth gear or at low speed in higher gears ( 25 or so in third). My questions are:
Should I go ahead and buy the oem ones or are the mazdaspeed that much better? They are both rubber.
Im really not rich hence i ask should I replace the main tranny mount? is that big metal panel right underneath it. Corcksport said that mine should be okey and that what it does is really just align the tranny in place and the little ones are the ones that do most of the work. Is this statement correct:"Meaning i shouldnt spend 100 bucks on it) and also about the differential mounts at 85 each for the mazda speed ones. Could they wait or do u guys think i should just save up and get them as well.
Read my sig for the car type i drive. Is a non turbo but ill be getting a new flywheel and stuff down the road i estimate a wheel horsepower of 165-175 within half a year or so. Would oem handle that? I know about the poluurethane mounts but i have no money nor I'm I a fan of vibration.
