Mazda Speed FC exhaust?
Mazda Speed FC exhaust?
I just drove out to see my car on the back of the transport truck and it has a Mazda Speed exhaust on it...can anyone tell me about this exhaust, and more specifically how it relates to the racing beat set up?
MazdaSpeed...
is great, i have it on my S5, i think it is 2,5" all the way because it fits on my Bonez dp and hiflo cat wich is 2,5" for sure, and the endpipe is like 3,5" stainless steel - looks great and works very good for me!! But it is a little expensive...
hmmm...was just wondering because I bought the Racinb Beat exhaust while I was waiting for the car to get here because the auction listing on the car did not list an aftermarket exhaust...just trying to figure out which one to keep...
keep the mazda speedin my opinion or look for some dyno sheets for the two exaust (there probaly somwhere) or if u care more bout sound im pretty sure u could find a clip of the rb too compare too the mazda speed
Mazdaspeed products are made to be a mild street upgrade.
Power and performance have modest gains, but it's not going to come close to a Racing Beat full 3" exhaust system, period.
Even the Mazdaspeed suspension parts are mild.
There are a lot of other stuff available that's stiffer out there.
You're paying for the Mazdaspeed name, and I think some of it is covered under Mazda warranties.
I would never recommend Mazdaspeed parts.
Most of it is overpriced.
Just to add to the confusion, Mazda Competition has recently changed it's name to Mazdaspeed, so MazdaComp parts are not Mazdaspeed parts.
The stuff I was referring to are the old, original Mazdaspeed parts that were only available in Japan.

I personally love the Mazdaspeed products, but it's a different kind of consumer that buys those parts. It's not for those who want a crap load of power, it's just something to make the car much more of a "factory special" (likewise with Nismo, TRD, and Ralliart). If you think of it like that, they're the greatest, now if you just want the best parts period (power braking, or handling) then don't buy them.

the car makes a crap load of power...trust me...hehe...we have no idea what is done to it other than the exhaust so far we are gonna climb under it and take a look tonight...good times
Ted is right, I have a car with that exhaust and one with racing beat. The rb exhaust is by far and away the better of the two, as a mater of fact i just ordered a third one for my fleet "o" rotary's.
I have been using RB stuff since the early days of their organization. Always top knotch!
