Talking The Master Fabricator back @ work

Okay, okay ... so it's not master fabrication, but it looks to be effective

If that is a cold air intake tube, it is damn small. There are much better and easier ways to do it.

Well one of the fuel pump rewire how-tos tells you to use 12-gauge speaker wire that you splice into one of the harnesses and run it back to the pump (its not for power tho), so it could be for that. What is the tube thing tho?

It's the perfect size for a petrol-powered leaf blower supercharger!

Listen up kids, you guys have 2 options, beat it, or shut it!

Since no one that posted can beat it, I suggest you zip it. I post theses things in hopes to benefit one person or another. If you other people had half the car I did, you would have better things to do then flame my art work It's 2 inch, and I did not want to cut 3"'s into my frame. Just say when, and we will run 7 Vs. 7. I did not see one person post that could even pump my gas, much less talk smack on my fabrication. It's more cold air then was going into my intake before, and once you can do something besides blow hot air, please let me know.

P.S the speaker wire IS for the fuel pump rewire, if you din't know that you A. drive a N/A ..

B. drive a turbo who's next run might be it's last.

one more thing, an 80MM intake canot take in as much air as that 2" forces in the intake at highway speeds or above, and below that I have not a thing to worry about.

If you want to offer a challenge out there to anyone with custom fabbing skills I'll bite and talk smack about your fabrication. I can't wait until others start posting their pics. Here are a few things I've done. I do so many others but just don't take pictures that often. I put most of them in threads.

Here are my custom machined exhaust sleeves:

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...eves+explained

Here is an old intake manifold on my 2nd gen.
Admittedly some people gave me some flak for it but it did work quite well, but maybe not on the street.

Here is the aluminum upper manifold I made for my T-II. Yes, it uses a Mustang TB and has the BOV integrated into the TB.

I almost forgot, my 2nd gen had a hole cut there too. I removed the washer fluid bottle, relocated it, and installed a 3" pipe down there that fed a cold air box that I built out of fiberglass. Sadly I didn't take any pictures. You don't need to cut the frame rail at all. It isn't even close to it. Others have done similar things as well with everything from aluminum to PVC pipe.

Not worthy of pumping your gas huh? Right.... (as spoken slowly by Dr. Evil)

I used 4" aluminum ducting (flexible) for my cold air intake. Cut the hole in the same spot as yours, but bigger obviously, right beside the hole for my FMIC piping. It pulls air from the same place yours does, perhaps mine is slightly more frontward. Not for ram air, but for the coldest possible intake charge. I used a shielded plastic cone filter, which pulls air only from the front hole, which happens to be 4", so I joined my ducting onto the filter for a 100% pure cold air intake path.

Between that and my greddy FMIC kit, I could go for a 60mph cruise on the highway for 5 minutes (ambient temps around 40*), pull over and pop the hood, and my intake manifold would be cold to the touch.

What about those fabrication skills bitch?
