Manifold Mod for intercooler piping....

well this shop who i'm taking my car to tommorow to install my intercooler with piping has made this type of mod for one of their RX7 FC's....

from what i understand, since the manifold's exit comes out pointing towards the driver they cut that part off, made a new hold directly pointing towards the drivers-side fender and welded a plate to cover the other hole, they say this helps air flow and minimal bends for the piping....

what you guys think, i dont want them hacking my car and have it run like ****....

basically the cut the side of the manifold where the inlet is, make a new hole that makes the air flow directly through the manifold and weld the opening where the inlet was originally shut....

I think he means they cut the inlet on the TB "cap" so that the inlet pipe is pointing directly twoards the drivers fenders and not the firewall/fender.

or you can get the plastic N/A elbow from the junkyard for 3 bucks. And it points towards the front of the car, so less pipe bending.

yea but you gotta modify the oil thing... There was a site that sells the tb elbow, I think its either kgparts or somewhere else where they sell the short shifters( I think the site belongs to a forum memeber).
