Making a N/A trans stronger?
Taller ALWAYS means less mechanical advantage. (3rd gear is taller than 2nd, 4.11 gears are taller than 3.91, etc)
Synonyms for taller are shallower and higher.
Likewise synonyms for shorter gears are steeper and lower. (a 4.11 rear gear is steeper than a 3.91, for example)

I am not positive on this but I thought the N/A trannies had a .711 ratio. Could you show me the source of your info. I would think the tubo you have the taller 5th gear.
