Major loss of power somewhere, I need help.
Well I have been on this for the longest time. I have a 1989 GXL. I have checked compression and timing, and got new exhaust, made a custon air box, and had a small tune up. no matter what I do the car just doesn't seem to have any power. Throw some posible solutions to this to me please.

It runs good but it just wont go anymore. Its like someone is grabbing one of the rotors and slowing them down. It runs like normal but no power.

Don't the fifth and sixth ports open up via exhaust pressure on the S5's? If you put a new exhaust on that was less restrictive than the original, your fifth and sixth ports may not open.
Here is another possibility: one of the coils is not firing. I fried one on my S4 on accident and the car had no power but still ran normally, except for having a low bouncing idle. Have you verified (with a timing light) that all four spark plugs are receiving current? Have you checked your spark plugs? Are they the real NGK ones and clean, not damaged? What about the resistence in your spark wires? How is your ignition timing? And the setting on the TPS?
Said that you did a tune-up so maybe you have checked all this. Low compression? Warm air being fed into the intake due to a malfunctioning emmissions control valve somewhere? Or an EGR valve stuck open?
RX7's are very complex. Just one problem will mess up the way the engine runs. They are not like carb fed VW's

Peacekeeper, make sure your aux ports are opening and those leading plugs are firing.

I have checked the stuff you suggested and its the coil is firing. Don't worry I Watched the plugs fire. I haven't been able to test the aux ports yet but I may have found the problem. One of my friends was having the same problem and took it to mazda. They had it done in no time. The timing was off a complete turn of the e-shaft. Like it "looked" timed but it was off an entire revolution. I think this is my problem. It fixed his problem. What do you think.
