Exclamation MAIN FUSE, quick question

The main fuse, the 80A one under the hood. If your looking at it through the clean plastic tops, should the "prongs" be connected, or seperated. All of the other ones are one piece, except the EGI which is a different style. Just wondered. Also, if its supposed to be one piece, and not broken, anyone have a spare one they can give up?

Thanks,
Chris

you can find a fuse at most any auto parts store, though 80 amp fuses are not as common as other lower amperage fuses they should still have, be able to get or tell you where you can get one from.

be sure to bring the fuse with you, there is many different types of fuses and most foriegn cars use these types of fuses but i can't remember the type and name off the top of my head.

Yea, I took the little plastic cover off, its definately broken. There are sevens in the junkyard around here I can gank them from, or I'll just check at auto bone or pep boys. At least that solves this problem.

Yea!!

Thanks,
Chris

i would just check with the auto parts store first, fuses can get old like solder joints and just crack in half if you look at them funny so it is better to replace it with something new.

I dis-connected my factory security system because it fought with my turbo timer and went off in the middle of the night at 2am. Also my drivers side door latch is broke, so that may also set it off. Either way, its not hooked up.

the factory security is a pita unless you have sensors that all work perfectly and are adjusted perfectly, i will probably upgrade mine and add in a new SS after i get the engine bugs out first.
