M14x1.25 barb fitting

So, I am getting an S5 fuel rail, primary and secondary. I plan on removing the stock FPR and putting a barb fitting on. Mostly because a full AN setup would cost too much.

On the S5 Fuel rail, secondary where the FPR is, does it just come off like the S4? And can I tap the S5 with a M14x1.25?

Can I use the S4 secondary rail and an S5 primary?

Last question, where is a good place to buy a M14x1.25 barb fitting? Barb should attach to 5/16" fuel injection line.

Thanks!

P.S. I am doing the swap because I am putting the S5 manifold on an S4.

No, it's integral with the steel fuel rail.

I doubt it's thick enough to be safely tapped. You have to cut off the FPR and weld a threaded steel boss on.

Yep, makes no difference.

Any decent engineering supply shop will have a large range of brass fittings. Use the phone book, ring and ask.

So you have S4 rails? Use them, they're interchangeable.

Just for reference.

Mark's comment refers to NA's, not Turbos...

here i dont need this anymore..

S4 secondary rail... drilled slightly out to accept bosh 1600 injectors and has the exact plumbing you want on the end... i spent over 30 dollars alone on those two fittings from summit

40 shipped and you can have it, or make me an offer

Unless you need to massively increase the fuel system's capacity, it doesn’t matter. The ID of the rails is driven by the physical size of the injectors and is considerably bigger than the ID of the hoses feeding them.

Thanks for the offer, I already tapped it and put a barbed fitting in.

M14x1.25 wasn't going to work so I used something else. Guys at the store helped me pick everything.

Yours looks nice though!

You use a fitting with that thread on an S4 rail, because it already has that thread. You wouldn't use that for an S5...
