Lubing injector o-rings?

What's a good substance to lubricate injector o-rings before you put them in your fuel rail?

I just lubed them with some motor oil. I'm thinking white lithium grease might be better.

I used bearing grease, being carefull not to get it into the injector oriface. That was after I put the secondary injectors in dry and had gas spraying all over the engine because I tore the o-ring putting it in dry. Major o-**** reaction on that f-up.

Motor oil will work fne....Also it's always a good idea to twist the injector some when installing them to keiep the o-ring from getting pinched and torn. Twisting also helps when removing them.

Use motor oil. Gas does not help. Twist them in a circular motion as you push them in. You'll never tear one this way.

Vaseline on the o'rings. It's a common aircraft practice for the last fifty years plus, to use vaseline on o'rings on hydraulic fittings, ecs fittings etc.

I just threw some motor oil on them and they dropped right in, no problem. This is an aftermarket fuel rail, mind you.
