lsd options for 91
i just read that the s5's came with a viscous lsd. well besides blowing goats, it really isn't very good at performance driving so i was wondering what are the best options price/performance wise to replace it.

well, i guess you could call it that. if you want drop clutch oversteer fun. but if you want good drive out of a corner, no. so yes and no. as an autox car i need something more robust. far more robust.

S4 LSD would be an option
S4 LSD's are clutch type, so most would consider it better suited for AutoX. Downside is the clutch's by their nature wear out.
If you get one from a daily driver, clutch's should be in decent shape. What part of the world are you located??

Except for maybe a Torsion 3rd member...
I would think that would be the best choice.
There have been threads that discuss putting a Torsion pumpkin (from maybe a wrecked later model Miata) in a S4 or S5 3rd member case so it could be mounted in a 2nd Gen. But, I would think this would be a far more expensive alternative.
