LSD "Conversion Kit"???

Im checking out ebay and came across this contraption:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=33731

Supposedly it turns open diffs into LSD units. Is this another electric turbo/supercharger scam?

Even if it was a gimmic its pointless as you can buy a good used LSD for 2-300 dollars. I have seen a similar devices in catalogs for years now and I don't think it is a scam but i just son't see the point.

phantom grips are fairly popular among the honda crowd as they can be had for a lot less than and lsd and they work fairly well a friend of mine installed one in his civic with a b16 and it made a significant diffrence at the track

Another thing is that Phantom Grip had a stand at NOPI which is only the biggest car show in the US so that tells you its more than an ebay scam. You cant compare PG to our cars because we A. have LSDs stock or B. can get them fairly cheap. PG's ideal car are the ones that dont have an lsd stock or their aftermarket counterpart is over 800 dollars.

Thanks for the replies. I wasnt planning on getting one of these things but just wanted some info on them. LSDs can be found for pretty cheap, especially at the junkyards on half off days
