low oil pressure

A couple of days ago i noticed that my oil gauge was starting to read about 12 to 14 psi on my defi gauge and if i go wot it will dip down to around 10. I already replaced the front cover o ring so i don't think it could be that. Now i believe that the oil seals on my turbo maybe going out because i get oil smoke at idle. Would it cause my pressure to drop that low? Also i found out that my front ss oil cooler line is bent in on to sides like it was kinked but then straitened out could that cause the low pressure ?
Btw this a rebuilt 88 T2 engine with a street port and a fd oil regulator.

i dont think the oil seals in the turbo will cause low oil pressure in the engine. i am not sure exactly what your problem could be, but i hope its nothing too bad. good luck man

I would start by taking off the oil cooler and having it cleaned, also change out all your oil if you haven't done it recently. Take your cooler lines with you and have those cleaned out as well. You should be able to find a radiator/cooling place that can clean and flow test the oil cooler. There is also check the oil cooler bypass valve to make sure it is opening properly.

I was wondering if maybe it could be the fd regulator that maybe causing this could that be a possibility?
