Low Oil Pressure

sorry if this has been asked the search isn't working for me right now. My oil presure is around 15psi at idle and never gets above 60. Is this too low? I've seen many people with 25-30 at idle and hitting around 100 at full throttle. If this isn't normal what should i do to get more oil pressure? I've tried different brands of oil filters wih no luck

And what are you using to measure your oil pressure?

Alot of the time the sending units under the oil filter go bad, but then again, new oil filters are sometimes defective and can kill and engine if not checked with a guage... the stock guage normally works fine ... but the stock reading should be 30 (or close) psi at idle, 60psi (or higher on race engines with special mods) at 3000 rpm ...

i think that maybe you should look at an aftermarket oil pressure gauge. just a though. i am going to get one and try to make a custom gauge pod on the stereo surround for it.
