Low Compression on rear rotor
Ok, So I just got a compression test on my motor and the rear rotor has low compression. The mechanic said its not where it should be. What does this mean and how much is it to repair? And since I have to open up the motor would it make sense to port it while I am at it? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Heck yeah if you are going to do a full engine tear down and rebuild might as well port the motor if you have the funds.... OR drive the motor until it isn't drivable anymore and get a JDM TII motor if your coming from an NA
Ask to see documentation. There should be multiple trials for each face of each rotor. Cranking speed and altitude should also be measured. There are tolerances and correction tables in the FSM:
How much does a port generally cost? Or how much does a repair generally cost if I am going to fix it putting it back to stock?
The repair is an engine rebuild. The cost depends on who is doing the work and their labor rate. If you have the ability to remove and install the engine then you can save some money, however if you are going to rely on a local shop then you are going to have to ask them what they charge. 3) Swapping a TII in
4) Cosmo 3 Rotor (a bit radical)
5) JDM Full swap
