lost oil pressure please help

OK, I had to take off my oil pan and reinstall it cause I dropped something in the spout - which I got out.

So last night I start it up for the first time, it's running great and the oil pressure up. Then as I drive around, start boosting I notice the oil pressure is getting lower. So I limp home and by the time I got to my garage the oil pressure was at 0.

I'm hoping pressure is measured in the pan and my cheep goo-gasket didn't work, but I'm not sure. What's going on here?

Thanks guys

Check to make sure that the connector did not fall off the oil sending unit.

Good.
The "catastrophic-oh-my-God-my-oil-pressure" connector has freaked me out twice.
