you might have to bend the top of the door a little bit, but hell ur stuck so possibly only way, get a very stiff stick, stiffer than a hanger try to make it push the power lock button. do u have power locks or not?

I don't know if this works on an FC but here is something to look at. On FB's you can lift the door handle a little and stick a long thin screwdriver up inside and push the door lock tab up. Since the key slot is right there you might be able to hit something to the side. They have a different set-up than the FB with the placement of the lock tab on the door. Be careful with your handle they bust inside.

hmm.....if u do use the coat hanger i suggest doing it to the passager side..incase u do mess up the rod insidethe door u wont have to live with it everytime u open your own door....this happened to me multiple times.....and i've gotten better and better at it...last time it happened the car was running....AND over heating....talk about working under pressure!

The lock is pretty worn, use a small screw driver to pick and turn the lock. Pretty easy to do.

haha....i very much know this way and have used several times already after locking myself out. if i were u donut, i wouldnt listen to any of these peoples advice (not calling u bad people) because u, or AAA even may easily end up damage something with those ways.

ill pm u with the answer cause i dont believe everyone needs to know, or our 2nd gens would be very vulnerable (sp?) targets to be broken into

on a lot of older cars if you just pull and release the door handle 36243268 times really fast it'll eventually open... i dont know if thats the five second way but it worked on my friends old *** tercel.

1. bite the bullet and call a lock smith
2. I bought a "break in kit" with various slim jims etc. and instructions from a roadside tool vendor. Bending the door can cause a major whistling sound later.

If you lost the keys to your car why would you want to break in? Unless you've got something inside that you need to get to ASAP, why bother? Based on the fact that you can't get into an rx-7 (very easy) i'm guessing you don't know how to hotwire it to get it started, so I don't see the point of trying to break in. I don't know why nobody has suggested this yet, but just go to a Mazda dealership with the VIN and have them make you a key once you prove it's your car.

slim jim, or just take the VIN number to your local Mazda dealer and have him cut another key.

have you tried another fc key, a lot of times the locks are dirty and other keys will work.
