Unhappy loss of acceleration

sometimes when i'm driving my car let's say i'm at 3000rpm i'll floor it and it will start to accelerate and at near 4000rpm it drops down to 3500 rpm then picks back up it only happens sometimes so what is my problem to i have a faulty fuel pump or fuel injector i'm really puzzeled at what to do i have a 1988 5 speed convertible with only a ram air modification and 77,000 miles please help

DO a search for 3800 rpm hesitation.

Basically, you need to reground/add grounds to your ECU. The best one to fix is the one under your intake manifolds, on the block.
