Bumper guards for the FC3S?

Does anybody make an affordable set of bumper guards for the FC? I know Attain makes one, but they're like 18,000 yen. Any place offer anything else? Thanks.

Steve

P.S. If you don't know what a bumper guard is, a bumper guard is a plate, usually made of aluminum or carbon fiber, that fits over the stock bumper and protects it from a hot exhaust system(or one that has a reputation for throwing flames ). My exhaust just toasted a portion of my bumper, and rather than have it repainted, I'd rather just cover it up. At the bottom of this page is the attain one.

18000 yen is only $165. That does seem pretty steep for such a small peice of carbon.

Dude.. i think you do have to overnight parts from japan.. then strap them all over my red lowridah truck.

why not just fab something up out of a piece of sheet aluminum? seems like it'd be a lot cheaper.

Don't have the tools or the time. Out of curiosity, if I got a friend to fabricate some of these, does anybody think there would be an interest?
