Smile loose shiftstick

Hi, my shiftstick is very loose and I can pull it up about 1". I remember seeing a thread on how to fix it before but I can't find it using the search engine.
Can anyone tell me how to fix it or guide me to the thread?
Thanks!

Also, when I try to reverse, I hear a Creeeeeeee!!!!, is that bad?

Thanks!

Replace the shifter bushings. Go to www.mazdatrix.com and you can find the info there along with the kit you need to do it. Takes about 20 minutes to do.

Ok thanks a lot!

Do I have to get both the top and bottom bushing sets?
