Loose Shifter...

Allrighty, theres defenitly something wrong with my shifter. I need to make like a "C" movement to get it from 1st to 2nd and something 5th doesnt go all the way in. How can I fix this? Just a shifter bushing? Thanks for help guys.

He he he ....... thats one of my little tricks when selling a car...... but shifter bushings in it.... makes it feel like a new tranny!!!!

I have the same problem, and convinced my wife that I need a short shift kit to fix the problem!

Here I have a little slop but that will be fixed when I get a short shifter

and to jack the thread any one know what companies make short shifters and what would be the best one to go to

Not I have been thinking about going with the mazdatrix one

I'm buying the mazdatrix one. I've seen a couple of others, but the few cheaper ones don't come with bushings, making them cost almost the same. The other factor is, Mazdatrix is a good company to do buisness with. Quick response, curtious service. Besides, have you seen the install instructions for the kit on their website? Most other dealers don't even know how to put their **** together!
