looking for a y-pipe

Well I am looking for a y-pipe to use in a custom catback. I have found a few different ones. I guess ideally I want a 3" inlet and dual 3" outlets but most mufflers inlets are 2.5" anyways so I guess I wouldn't lose anything by having 2.5" outlets. Some of these y-pipes don't look too good for our cars but let me know what you think. Also if you have any other places to buy a better one or cheaper let me know. Thanks.

Magnaflow Y-pipe

Can't the person doing the exhaust just make a custom one?

Well they can but I've heard it will never flow as one that has been manufactured by professionals. To be honest I don't think that most people working at muffler shops are veryprofessional to say the least.

Ah, but a custom one made specifically for YOUR car still ought to be better than a universal one don't you think?

You know, you might be right. Maybe I'll just go down to the local muffler shop and see how good of one they can make. Thanks.

you better buy the pipew being used as MOST muffler shop use thin zhitty pipes that corroded easily or will not handle the heat generated by rotary eng's.
just something to think about

Prolly just some cheap N1 copies. I love the N1s but don't see paying $400+ just for the mufflers.

How is a Y-pipe mass-produced for the lowest price in the shortest time going to be better than one hand-made by an experienced exhaust builder?
To be honest I don't think that most people working at muffler shops are veryprofessional to say the least.
You must be going to the wrong places. If you want a performance exhaust, go to someone who has experience building performance exhausts.
