Looking for Ported+Modded TB Pic
I was on here a while back ( on a much faster computer ) and stumbled across a picture of a Throttle Body with the TB Mod and it was ported ( looked like the tops of the venturis in a Demon Carb ). I'm trying to find the pic again. I've tried searching on this slow computer for a few days and can't find it. So, if any of you picture collectors could help me, I'd appreciate it.

That is a pic of BDC's TB which i told him how to go about porting it after telling him about the decreased lag etc associated with doing it to mine.

The red bits indicate the edges of the remaining flatsurfcaes, everything else has been tapered away to improve BOOSTED flow thru the secondary butterflies manily but also thru the primary butterfly aswell.

Would doing that to a N/A have any effect on the throttle responce or anything? I know it'll have more of an effect on a TII due to a loss in turbulence, but what about an N/A?

If you have a dremel or similar die grinder you can port the living sh*t
outta your TB, it'll increase the air flow thru it by so much, your idle
speed will jump like 400RPM, you turbo lag will get hugely lower, and the
responsiveness of the motor will just about blow ya mind.
I have a pic of Brian D Cain's ported TB, i told him how to port it and he
set to it, i had ported mine previously and was amazed by the results it
gave so told him about it and he wanted some pics, i didn't have any pics
but i gave him good details and he went to work, he was totally ammazed at
the gains it got. pics of his ported TB can be seen here.

If you are still running the factory computer, take note, we dont know
anyone with a ported TB with a factory computer still running the works so
we cant gurantee the factory ECU is gonna be able to handle it.
that what you wanted?
basically grind it, get out smoother grinding bit to smooth the surfaces, get out the wet and dry sand paper and sand it a bit then put the buffing bit on the dremel and polish it up smooth

HWO, that's exactally what I was wanting to know with this thread. Thanks a lot for the info. I'll probably pick up another TB as soon as I can come across one locally, and have at it. Thanks a lot. <bows to HWO> And keep on spinnin'

i did the TB mod as described on the k2rd site.
after i saw the ported picture up there i decided to pull mine off again and grind it out like that. it was really easy and came out looking just like the pic. i really havent noticed much difference since porting, although i am only running a stock 88 with 3" exhaust.

I just use a dremel with the little sanding drum and the coarsest collars, they are equal to like 60 grit i think. for the tin tapering in the corners i just used a thin grinder bit - shaped like a thin V
took me about 3 hours or so to do it all, i removed A LOT of material, like i would have ended up with approximaltey an inch or very close to it of grindings sitting on the butterflies
