Looking @ a '90 Turbo II to buy, what do I need to look for?
I'm looking at a 90 turbo II to buy. I am familiar with the normally aspirated rx-7 , buy have never had a T II. She has 113000+ miles, the body and paint are very good condition, interior is good, tranny seems good, no grinding shifting through the gears as fast as I could shift. It pulls really good, compared to my NA. The owner said that the brake system had been redone and that the abs did not work and I tried it and it did not work and the abs light was on. Looks like there is a little oil leak, looks like it is leaking from a oil cooler hose. Power everything a/c blows cold, basically everything works. Turbo timer, good stereo, a pillar fuel pressure and boost guage. Leather seats.
She also had a big rust area on the rear hatch glass at the bottom that has to let water in. The area behind the seats was SOAKING WET as was the inside on the storage hatches. I am pretty sure the water came from the hatch as the drain holes were totally plugged and there was the rust hole in the hatch glass itself. I have a good condition hatch so that ia not a problem for me, I just want to be sure that that is where the water is coming from.
So what should I be looking for specifically? The owner is a female and she thinks that she is the second owner, and looks like she babied it. She is asking $3500 What do you think?
Thanks all.

Have the oil leak checked or check closer yourself to make sure its not internal. Also check to make sure the car is not rusted out with that big of a leak. Find out if it has the original engine, because if it does make sure you have money for a rebuilt or new engine soon. I would point out some things wrong and tell her that it needs a new this and new that and offer her like $2500. Cash talks so bring the flow with you

Ok what about a limited slip diff and how do you identify the limited slip diff?
Do they all have speed sensing power steering?
Thanks again.
