Doesn't the damage on the shaft give you an idea of the stress that tranny has been through. I mean. I rather spend 100 dollars on a used tranny rather then take my chances with a 25 dollar tranny and having to pull it out again.

I doubt there is damage, dude said it starting making noise so he pulled it. He already said the input shaft looks fine.

I'm not worried about pulling a transmission, that's part of the game.

If it was me I would put at least a bearing kit, seals all around, clean out the case, and replace that front throwout collar. the collar retains the front bearing and holds the throwout bearing . all of these old gear boxes are just about worn out, they get noisy and sloppy, if there are no bad gears inside, I would do what I just said! Do you guys know if the front cover is the same on a TII transmission and NA Transmission?

I picked up the transmission this morning, his mechanic said that it was broken while being pulled out. Said the person got to roudy while pulling it. It pulled it because of a blown motor. It only has 50K on it.

No they are different. They used different bolt holes and are made of different materials. NA I believe are Cast Iron units.
