Local Engine Shop quoted me for Jspec Engine

I called up the local engine shop around here..


they wasnt 1254.00 + Tax for everything including installation for a J-Sped Turbo Engine....

iam gonna swap my Tranny first and then get that engine swap...

what you guys think?

not bad...i got my jspec engine turbo and t2 tranny for 1300 with shipping..but had to install myself.

I got my engine tranny, uncut harness and ecu shipped 2 day for 1500.

dam thats really cheap if that includes installation..im in cali too juss wondering if u mind sharing wat shop

i had a question tho.. well more of a comment

arent ALL J-Spec Engines Turbo?


well if they are putting in a turbo engine dont they need to swap like the ecu and stuff?

its not a direct swap is it?

You answered your own questions.

All J-Spec engines are turbo, and if you're converting a N/A to Turbo, it is NOT a drop in. You'll have to figure out how you're going to run the engine (stock, aftermarket EMS) and figure out how you're going to get that power to the ground. The N/A tranny will handle normal driving, but if you start fooling around at the dragstrip, than that thing will break.

is that for an s4 jspec or an s5 jspec and does it matter?
