Little restrictor in vac line for wastegate

I am converting my 88T2 over to a s5 turbo. Well I was taking off the old vac lines that run around the turbo to the wastegate on the s5 turbo, and I noticed a little restrictor valve or something inside the vac. line that comes from the nipple sticking out of the pressure side of the turbo that then runs over to the steel tube that goes around the turbo that then in turn the other vac line hooks to which then in turn hooks to the wastegate. My question is, should I leave this little valve in there or should I take it out?

it's for the S5 stock boost controller. take it out. and run a new line from turbo to wastegate. or hook up your boost controller.

ok i'll take it out. I noticed also that the steel line that runs around the s4 turbo is different then the one that runs around the s5, the s5 has like a T-spilt in it. I was going to just swap the s4 steel line over to the s5 turbo, is that going to cause any problems?

If you plan to get a boost controller, get one now. Even a manual one.

you either need to use the S4 metal line or just run a vac line from one nipple to the other.

The tee is for the S5's stock electronic boost control. It leads to the solenoid valve.

Do that, or ditch it and just run a new rubber hose so you only need two clamps instead of four.
