a little concerned..

actually very.. I've been doing some work on my 88 TII and it's been sitting for almost 3 weeks.. I'm worried that something's gonna go wrong.. should I be worried? anything I can do to make sure there are no problems upon starting it (problems being: bad fuel, lost compression, etc.)?

i don't think three weeks is going to be enough to give you any problems. If any buildup showed up in those three weeks, it wont' be enough to contaminate your systems or stop the car from turning over. Compression isn't going to be injured. I say fire her up and take it for a drive. If you didn't do any tranny work or anything that needs broken in, I'd say let it warm up, then give it hell for a couple minutes to make sure it's doing ok, but I can't see any problems happening from three weeks of sitting.

3 weeks is no big deal, but it's best to put some fuel stabilizer in. Modern gas is only good for a few weeks.

If you are going to store longer (a few months), use fogging oil to fog the inside of the engine, change the oil and coolant, and disconnect the battery.

My cars sits in the winter for like 4 months. Past 2 years it has always ran funny toward the end of those months. Felt like it had no power, and it was hesitating real bad. i always started it and ran it every few days just to keep it good, but it still happens. Last time I stored it, I put very little gas in it, and put new gas in it like every week after I ran it. Had no problems. So I guess gas goes bad pretty quick. Either get stabilizer or do what i did.
