i think my engine is fucked

Hey guys... today i stopped to put some oil in the 7.. i put 1 quart in because she was pretty low..... it smoked a little out of the tailpipe while i was pouring it in which has never happened so i was concerned..
after i put the oil cap on i give it a little rev..... i hear this clicking noise when i rev it.... i am like oh **** no im bout ready to bow and apex seal.... so i get going the clicking dosent happend when i am driving.... only when i rev it in neutral......i also recently noticed my car has a dowel pin leak in the front housing..... the motor is running as strong as it was when i first bought it.... but it is in dire need of a full tune up.... i mean it needs a tune up bad! everything....

i am hoping my motor is ok because i dont have a spare 12a.. only a 13b....

someone please help me....

thanks

Hmm, all I can tell you man, is that if you need a 12A to rebuild, I can get you one....my yard has one, but I wouldn't try to just put it in the car and run it....it would need a rebuild.

If it's still running strong, and only making the noise in neutral - then it's probably not the engine.

Does the noise stop if you push the clutch in?

god damnit..... ford owns mazda CURRENTLY.... they dont make mazda cars.... and they didnt own mazda in the year 1981.... i hate fords not mazdas... that dosent mean i hate lincolns... i hate FORDS!.... god damn.......

start a ******* argument in the lounge.. im trying to figure out if my car is fucked or not.....

*deep breath*... ok now BACK ON TOPIC >(

my car has stopped making the clunking noise.... i found 2 vaccum lines disconnected under the hood.. i hooked them back up and now my car is running like a champ...

it still has a ******* dowel pin leak though ... i think im either gonne overtorque the housing bolts or bust out the jb weld....

Dude, chill man....no reason to blow up...just ignore people that act like asses, even if it's not acting, and they really are an ***, let it go.

Glad to hear you fixed the prob. Sounds like the noise you were hearing was coming from the vac lines. You probably didn't hear it while driving, just due to road noise, and the fact that the hood was down.
