Limp Mode

I posted this question earlier but since it got no replies im just gunna rephrase it. I had a TII swap in my vert( dont know how many of you remember or even know) it was an 88. The setup ran perfect with the 88. Then I bought another vert, a 91, and did the swap, but now its hard to start. doesnt idle, and I cant press the acc all the way or more than half because it just shuts off. Now, I havent dealt with an s5 or its ecu for a while, and I dont remember how it acted during limp mode. But I currently dont have the OMP (since its blocked off) or the TPS'. Would this cause it to run how im describing, or is the problem somewhere else...

Yes, you can plug it in and leave it blocked off, just throw it somewhere out of the way and it'll get it out of limp mode.

Nice microtech by the way, though that 'base' map was flipping crazy! HH sure is happy to have his car back and running again!

WEll that was my getto tune after I erased my tuners map.... The original map is saved as base map, it should be in slot #1.

Lol yea... from 550 to 1600 is a big *** step... That was the map before I took it to the tuner... He got more into the staging and all that. But the fuel curve was still pretty crazy till I passed 15 psi to 20. And btw, the cruise map is crazy. I saved soo much gas its not even funny.. Anyways, im glad he enjoyed it, I sure do miss it... I hate dealing with the stock ecu.. atleast now Ill get the lt10. Alright then, thanks for the help..

Yeah man I do appreciate the mt! Doing business with you was great! I do admit that I'm kind of a skeptic when it comes to transactions on this forum so I do thank you for the great product and service! I still don't know how the hell anyone can tune one of these computers, sonic was just going though the hole thing like no problem while I'm in the drivers seat with my brain hurting trying to keep up, lol. Anyways Thanks again!

Lol, its not that hard... If you start fuking with it, youll see how easy it is to mess with it. Always start with more fuel and less timing and work your way with lower fuel and more timing. Im not saying that you should go out and give it a full tune, but its cool how you can control the motor with a press of a key.

I remember I was crazy enough to go 12psi with the stock ecu, but the motor behaved like ****... Once I switched to MT it was fukin sweet. Anyways, good luck.

Thats nice... 360 is great power level to be at... Make sure that he tunes that cruise map, 20x's better than stock ecu's closed loop./.

that would be nice! right now I'm running 10's on cruise, lol. I'm about to datalog it with my wb and mt and send those files on over to sonic and he will see whats going on from there. it will be fun to see how much the gas mileage improves over stock cause I have a feeling this thing is going to be daily driven

whoops didn't see you post there. I'll let you know how the acceleration off of idle is while I'm data logging. Maybe you can see throught that? It is still rough but like I say every time, who cares, lol. I'm just happy it's running enough to break in the motor.
