Like or Hate FTPs

I was just wondering today. I notice alot of FCs have their FTP lights removed from the bumper. why? personally i think it looks like the car is messed up. i like the way the FTP lights look in the bumper. not trying to start a flame war. just intrested in everyone's opinion.

most people pull them out because they are faded or yellowed.

i cleaned mine and i would never drive my car with them out.

never seen one dirty on the inside, if the seal is broken then i can see that happening, you can split the housing from the lens with a heat gun or decent hardryer.

Mine were shitty so I painted them black and actually like it kind of better, gives my car a different look to it from other 2nd gens.

Do not really care either way. One of mine fell out on the road one day and I just tossed the other away to make it look "even."

People think it provides cold air to the intake. They don't seem to realise that the headlights are in the way.

Same here. Unless some finish work is done, the car just looks junky. If an insert is made to finish off the rough opening, then it's not so bad. Still pointless though...

I pulled mine out to clean them up but i messed up the plastic part that hold the bolt in. So if i put them back in they'd just fall out. I'll buy a new set some time not really a priority right now. Besides they look like intakes

I did the same thing to mine when I removed them to clean 'em up. I had to JB Weld the bolt back into the housing and it's been that way ever since...2 years and 3 FC's later they're still there.

I got 1 that is clear, and 1 that is fogged up :/.

Car has other body damage, so the FTPs don't have priority right now.

"Flash To Pass"
It's the clear lenses under the headlights that the headlights shine through without popping up.
