Yes, AFAIK originally available as a dealer installed option, same shape, contour and size as the steel unit, even uses the same mounting points. A bolt in option. These are tempered glass with reflective coatings and tinted a bronze colour to reduce heat penetration, truely a professional quality unit.

Also from what I have read there only 1500 Pacific Glass roofs originally made, so considering the number of years that have passed since the generation 2 cars stopped production and allowing for breakage, there aren't many around.

I loved it in my car, especially during the winter when it was too cold to open the roof but still allowed the light in to make the interior much brighter!

Can you get these in a non-bronzed finish? I really don't like the way the bronze ones look. A standard blackish tint, or even clear would be nice. But it sounds like your units are exactly the same as the one my friend has in his TII.

How much are you selling them for?

Actually the bronze colour is almost un-noticable from the outside, I don't think that they were made any other way. I'm sure that your friends TII has the same unit. The only time I noticed the colour was looking from the inside of the car out. I can dig up a picture that I took of the car with the glass roof installed if you are curious?

BTW, I am not manufacturing these, But I do have one that did not go with the car when it was sold last year.

In pictures of my friends TII, its plainly visible that its bronze in color.

I didn't figure you were manufacturing them, but thought you might have access to them in other colors. Please post some pictures of it. I would like to see.

hmmmm, mine doesn't look like that, no pics here at work to post... I'll have to check at home or snap some new ones! What is that white border around the edge? The one I have doesn't have that or the black border on the front and back edges. If memory serves the only black area is on the left and right where the bolts go through.

Maybe there is more then one style/manufacturer that was available for these cars?

Perhaps more than one supplier.. not sure.

But, its not a white ring I don't think.. its chrome I think. I've never actually seen it in person, just pics.

As far as the black border... There's no reason NOT to....hides the mechanics of the sunroof from people looking in. Makes it look a lot cleaner. because when the sunroof is back, there's like 6" or more of the sunroof tray exposed. Its not the prettiest thing either. and in the front you have the pop up diffuser thing. So, the covered areas kinda make sense.

micaheli,

Well I couldn't find any pictures that I have of the roof panel, so I will take a few and post them.

As for the black borders, the roof I have is dark enough that you could not see the underlying structures at the front or back when it was installed.

Do you know if your friends roof was made by Pacific Glass?
