This isn't an issue with Polycarbonate (Lexan is a brand of polycarbonate), it will never yellow the way that plain acrylic will. It is also a lot stronger, it's the stuff they make airplane windshields out of.

Can you elaborate on the seal? Would it work on the metal panel too?

Please take deposits before you shell out your cash. FC owners have a tendency of jumping on the bandwagon, yet never buying when the product becomes available.

So what's the big fukin deal about a lexan sun-roof - my fully operational home-built is going into it's 3rd Canadian winter as I write and has performed flawlessly since I put it in in 2000.
Parts cost me around $70 in total - take a look at my avatar for a pic of the installation which is a complete replacement for the tin roof along with modifications to the interior headliner and etc.

The big deal is not everyone has the time/motivation/ability to make them themself. Same reason car shops are in business... sure, most people COULD do it themself, but a lot don't have the time.

i think we'd all like to hear more from ianbell about the DIY procedure versus the lexan route here, just as a competitive alternative of sorts... so let's.
