leaning out problems..help!

when i am starting my car, my autometer AFR gauge shows 2 LEDs on the lean side (not sure if that is an accurate or valid point of reference, but it is all i have). will this harm anything? how would i remedy any possible problems?

ignor any readings you get for the first 5 mins or so. the o2 only works when it's warm.

after the car idles for a few minutes what does it read?? your O2 sensor has to warm up first to be accurate.

Don't even bother looking at your A/F gauge until you've been driving for at least 3-4 minutes. It takes that long for the O2 sensor to reach its operating temperature; until then its readings are meaningless.

Are you still talking about when the engine's cold? You've had that answer three times...

i am saying that the gauge is only lit WHILE the engine is cold. and when i asked what could caUSE IT, I WAS ASKING IF THERE WAS ANY WAY TAHT THE WIRING COULD BE WRONG. the gauge is useless if it only comes on during the warming up
