Leanin out!!!???

Hey guys,
the problem im havin is that at about 3.5k-4.5krpm my air/fuel meter reads either lean or nothin at all which is from what i was told that its way lean, but after 4.5k it reads normal and i feel a bit of a surge almost as if a second wave of boost hits.....(best description) and it stays normal all the way after that......also im losing fuel like crazy, i have to fill up about every 3 days worse if i get on it a little. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful...thnx

Sounds like your secondary injectors may not be firing properly at 3800 rpms. Do a seach for 3800 rpm hesitation. It could be fairly easy to fix but just regrounging some of the electronics to the chassie.

If I get on the accelerator (which I normally do... ) I fill up about every 3-4 days after commuting (50-60 miles everyday). Are you using a stock boost gauge? How much are you boosting? Mods?

Sadly, that's about the mileage that I get...the autometers aren't known for their accuracy, you should be boosting 6.5 stock, same goes with A/F gauges. Honest best bet would be to dole out the 50 for a dyno (try and get a few people to have a meet at a shop, I got a nice deal where I got 3 pulls for 50 bucks...) and see what a wide band says your doing. I don't trust the ones that read off of your O2 sensor, half the time they do read it's a little too late.

But if your curious, nothing would stop you from wiring your fuel pump to recieve a constant 12v signal, and seeing what your gauge says. Although I wouldn't keep it permantely this way, your mileage would just get worse.

Have you done the nice rewire of your fuel pump (relay and all)?
