Where do you connect the PVC end cap(s)? turbo outlet pipe and intercooler? I tested the intercooler and it seems to hold without leaks.

Ok, so I tried to jump that yellow plug. Same thing still happens. And once again, when I mash on the pedal, sometimes I hear the relay click (in the rear now since the rewire), and sometimes I don't. More often, I don't.

Here is a link to a video that you can download to see what I mean:

If anyone has anymore advice, I'm all ears. Really want to get this thing running.

First of all, post your video on youtube, or some other streaming site. I'm not going through 8 pop up windows and downloading some random software just to watch that video.

Second it sounds like you issue is not the pump. Fuel pressure seems normal even when you are having the problem, if there were an issue w/ the pump this would not be the case. However just to rule out voltage irregularities hook up a multi meter to the power leads going to the pump and drive around (it would be nice to have someone else drive while you moniter the voltage but this is not a requirement).

What it really sounds like is a fuel delivery problem. When were you injectors cleaned , if ever? What did the inside of the fuel tank look like when you installed the new pump? Did you replace the fuel filter when you did the pump? How bout the sock on the pump itself? If any of those items were compromised they could have sent debris through your fuel system and clogged your injectors.

It's a direct link. You won't have any pop up windows nor will you need to download anything. SendSpace is actually really good about not having any of that crap, that's why I use them.

I thought my fuel pressure is really bad, since it drops down to ~25psi when stepping on the gas??

Doubt the injectors have ever been cleaned. Previous owner had a shop do the fuel pump less than 200 miles ago (still have the invoice). He didn't do the fuel filter though. Not sure about the sock (figured a new one comes with the new pump?).

Had another thought: if it was a bad fuel filter or clogged injectors, wouldn't the pressure just stay at 30psi all the way up the powerband as it does at idle?
Theoretically, if something is clogging the lines, then it can flow just as much as it can allow through the clog. You wouldn't see 40psi at ignition on, engine off...then see 30psi at idle...and then ~25psi at open throttle. It would just stay at around 30psi the whole time, no?
So I'm thinking its either the fuel relay bugging out, or FPR not doing its job....maybe?

Borrowed a friends fuel pump relay/resistor to try out and still have the same issue. Checked fuel pressure again, and it still does the same thing: ~30psi at idle and then as soon as I step on the accelerator, it drops to 20-25psi...
Any thoughts?

Here is a youtube link to a video showing what it's doing: http://youtu.be/l57k9937GmA

vacuum leak. replace the LIM gasket with a oem and use zero silicone. clean the block and lower intake manifold with sandpaper/wirewheel.

Wouldn't it be more of an issue with fuel since the pressure is dropping when revved?

Im having the exact same problem. I guess nobody has found out what causes this?

Im thinking maf. If everything else has checked out fine, then why hasnt anyone replaced the maf to see if it fixes it? Im doing so tomorrow and ill post the outcome. If it works, this needs to be archived for sure.

Fuel system is solid. I can tell that the injectors are trying to work because i can feel them kick in. Gonna test them at the ecu to make sure though. This problem occurs alot with n/a setups with the end result being the maf. People think differently though when it comes to turbo setups because the sensors are reading differently. Dont look past anything, its probably the most obvious.

Just Because they're turning on doesn't mean they're working properly. One or both could be clogged or have a bad connection.

Personally id have them cleaned/flow tested before even putting them on my engine, its the logical thing to do.

If its doing this while free reving then it might just be the MAF or some other sensor related problem. If it is doing this under load then it is more likely a fuel system related problem.
