Leaking Coolant

I know i have been leaking coolant for some time now but now it has gotten worse. Before the add coolant light would come on and stay on for months but it never overheated. But a few days ago I started smelling coolant. Then yesterday it overheated when i got to work. Added some coolant and got home. I finally found the general location of the leak. It seems to be leaking onto the O2 sensor plug and is also wet between the upper and lower intake manifolds. Any idea where it is leaking in that area before i take off the intake manifolds. Thanks

There is a coolant nipple on the rear iron. That is the likely cause of your leak.

I misspelled coolant when I original wrote the page.

The nipple is located on the rear iron on the passenger side. It's hard to see with the intake manifolds in place. Here's a picture:

It's a bad picture but that hose that is sticking up from the rear of the block against the firewall leads to the nipple.

Here's a better one:

The nipple is at the top of the picture behind the fuel rail.

Hey Man thanks alot after u told me where it was coming from i took off the intake and sure enough it was leaking from that exact place. Also decided to replace the water pump housing to bypass valve hose while i have the intake off. Thanks Again!
