Lag Issue

I'm having an interesting issue on my '86 GXL. Seems when my RPM's hit 3500 in any gear I get a lag. Could this be a clutch issue? Maybe the flywheel isn't strong enough to handle higher RPM's? As far as I know the clutch assembly is stock. I know the tranny has issues, the syncro's are all hosed up and creates some interesting shifting problems but I don't think this is related to that.

This happen to anybody?

This is a popular topic... read the stickies about 3500rpm lag. They say something to the effect that your engine is not grounded properly. Be careful, some people might yell for asking such a commonly asked question

3) Check your t.p.s

He's not kidding about the yelling. This is commonly referred to as the 3800RPM hesitation. It's in the FAQ at the top of the page.
