Kinda messed up my FC today...

I was driving home from home depot today and i was in the left turn lane waiting for the little green arrow to let me go. i was playing with the radio controls, not really looking in front of me (there were 2-3 cars in front of me in the left turn lane also). the light hits green and i start going foward, normally not gunning it on anything, i get to the middle of the intersection and i see some jackass in a maxima stopped wayyyy out further than you should be, he was to my left in his own turn lane, it was red for him obviously and the other lanes next to him (he was intersecting me, like i was on the Y axis road and he was on the X axis road). so i swerve right to go around him and then a sharp left to get back on the new road i was turning into (still with me?) at this point all hell breaks loose and im trying to countersteer some sick oversteer, initial D style (NOT FUN!) i end up losing it and my car makes a 180 and ends up facing the traffic, which, thank god, was red for them. i hit my right rear wheel bad on the curb and my right front wheel a little also. the engine just shut off (i think, i dont remember shutting it off after i spun around), i started it back up right quick and it was idling like crazy for a good 5 mins, jumping back and forth from 1000 to 1700 rpm, i guess its kinda normal though as i had JUST started the car after walking out of home depot, and it was still cold, so when i started it back up a 2nd time i guess it was doing its warm up sequence. anyways, i turned around back going the correct way and pulled into a plaza to inspect any damage. i got a nasty 4-5" scrape on my right rear FD wheel, and a lil curbage on the front right one too. but the worst part is now my damn car 'tilts' to the right when im cruising. when i say tilt i mean you let go of the steering wheel at any speed going straight, and it slowwwwwly starts leaning towards the right lane. it did this a TINY bit, and i do mean TINY bit, now its a little more noticeable. maybe i bent something under there, im not sure, im wondering if an alignment would help at all? oh and by the way, it was raining cats and dogs. rx7s and rain dont mix, especially on turns.

check your camber... but it sounds like a simple alignment problem. How are your tires

i need to buy new tires. i plan to before the winter, as these are pretty worn down. i have a feeling even if i did have good tires i would have spun out. these damn cars love to fishtail. my manager at work had an 87 n/a and she spun it on the highway off ramp, the same way i did. it was funny because she was just telling me about this a week ago..

Yeah, bad tires can do it, but FCs arent that tailhappy of a car compared to an MR2 or a Mustang.. When my tires are gone on my TII, I can still keep it under control..

if the tires are bad it slides easy... when i first got mine it had two each of two different rims and tires, two were bald toyo t1's and the others were dry rotted el-cheapo's... i hit some rain driving it home and unfortunately the bald tires were on opposite corners, FL and RR and the open diff got that back one going with just the least bit of throttle imput... i bought new tires the next day

LOL. Thank god im 25 and have gotten all my bad drivign out of me. I did something similar in my 85 corolla hatch, known as the ae86 in japan. Wasnt to avoid anythign jsut being stupid drifting around on public streets. Hit a curb sideways at like 30mph, had soem alignment probs and a badly bent right rear rim. I was 19 at the time lol. oh well, got to bend sheetmetal to get good i guess. Gl hope u get it all fixed.
