the KILLER buzzer

the oil buzzer always comes on when i redline the car why???? i just changed the oil

How about...the REDLINE buzzer goes off whenever you REDLINE???

lol, when i 1st got my rx7 i always thauhgt some1 was honking at me or my i would always accidently hit the horn or something but it took me like a couple min of research and realized i wasnt honking the horn everytime i would light'em around corners and wutnot infront of ppl lol

but its at like 6000-8000 rpm it buzzes and the oil light comes on???? is that the rpm buzzer or what? sorry im new

yeah, its the over rev buzzer. you shouldnt be holding the engine over 6500K for too long anyways. for one you arent making any useful power at that range and two, apex seal chatter.

That shouldn't be happening. Do you have enough oil in your car?

The buzzer does three things:

Oil low (with warning light)
Exceeding Redline (no warning light)
Water low (with warning light)

If the Low Oil light is coming on when you are at redline, then either the wrong weight oil (or some lame oil additive) has been used, or there is a wiring issue with the car.

Make sure you have not used any lame oil additives like the Lucas crap or MMO, both of which can cause foaming in the oil at high RPMs.

JESUS! You can rev your engine to 6,500,000 rpms...!!! (6500k is 6.5 million) I know, im being an ***.


In either case the over rev buzzer shouldnt come on until you are at or over 8000k rpms if you have an S5. With an S4 it may come on over 7000. Sounds like you have an S5 then.


And since Im being a dick already: I WARNED you about this car. Many times. This is just one more reason WHY i warned you.
